Teen Advocate

Teen: (noun) a high school age student

Advocate: (noun) supporter, champion, backer, promoter, believer, … friend

  • Teen Advocates learn about healthy relationships and how to be in relationships
  • Teen Advocates support and promote their generation by getting trained in leadership, critical thinking, communication, and relationship skills. 
  • Teen Advocates use their training to give back, earn community service hours, or just volunteer.

I’m not a teen – can I get involved?

Yes! Become a TA Leader and make a lasting, meaningful impact on this generation. We are looking for people who have some of the following traits or skills and/or are willing to grow in these areas. 

  • Embraces the vision, mission, and values of Life Choices
  • Conducts meetings and presentations according to Life Choices trainings and policies
  • Possesses strong mentorship skills
  • Possesses a heart for discipling youth
  • Provide a positive and educational environment for their team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality (as allowed by state law) when handling sensitive information 
  • Ability to communicate diplomatically, persuasively, and effectively verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Encourage youth involvement and parent engagement
