Abortion Pill Reversal Information

Changed your mind or having second thoughts? It may not be too late. If you’ve taken the first abortion pill and it’s not been more than 72 hours (3 days), abortion pill reversal may be an option for you. Contact the Abortion Pill Reversal Hotline at 1-877-558-0333.

What is Abortion Pill Reversal?

The abortion pill prevents the body from absorbing the hormone called progesterone, which is required for the pregnancy to thrive and grow in the uterus. Without progesterone, the pregnancy will not survive. Abortion pill reversal counteracts the process of the abortion pill by prescribing a high dosage of progesterone. This influx of progesterone stops the abortion process and allows the pregnancy to continue to grow.

To have the highest chance of success, the abortion pill reversal process should be started within 72 hours (three days) of taking the abortion pill and would ideally be started before taking Misoprostol, the second medication in the abortion pill process. There have been no studies to show the success rate for a woman taking both Mifepristone and Misoprostol and attempting a reversal, but our doctors and nurses are willing to evaluate your case should you still wish to seek a reversal.

What are the Side Effects of Abortion Pill Reversal?
Thankfully, the abortion pill reversal process is not associated with side effects and does not increase the risk of birth defects in babies born following the process. In fact, progesterone has been safely used in pregnancy for decades.

However,
the abortion pill itself may be accompanied by side effects such as nausea, weakness, fever/chills, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, and diarrhea.

Who is Abortion Pill Reversal For?

The abortion pill reversal process is for anyone who has taken the abortion pill in the last 72 hours, however, starting the process earlier will ensure a greater chance of success.

Deciding if the abortion pill is right for you is a difficult choice and many women change their minds shortly after starting the process. While it is important to act quickly, if you’re experiencing regrets after taking Mifepristone, there’s still time to reverse the impacts of the medication and continue your pregnancy safely to term.
